Ballybunion Beach and Cliffs
One place I visit every time I go to Ireland is Ballybunion. I love walking down the beach and exploring the cliffs from below.

Ballybunion is one of my favorite places to visit when I go to Ireland. I absolutely love the cliffs, the sea, the crashing waves. It's feels so dramatic, so BIG and WILD...which is why the whole western coast of Ireland is called The Wild Atlantic Way.
To me, Ballybunion is even better than the Cliffs of Moher. WAY better...you can walk down the beach at low tide and explore the cliffs, run your hands along it's side, marvel at the colors, listen to the mussels clicking and the water dripping deep inside the crevices. Sometimes, when the tide is at its very lowest, if you're lucky, you can stand in that opening at the end of the cliff. There's even a castle ruin to top it all off. It's wonderful, I tell you!!

Just look at these colors...aren't they incredible?

If you go during the summer months, you can enjoy a seaweed bath...in a little house right on the beach. Just slip into the hot bath and relax as you listen to the sea and let the seaweed work its magic.
