Need a place to get away? There is no better corner in the world to hide from the dull everyday than Pawleys Island, SC.
Our 7 bedroom, 7 bath house sits on a tiny barrier island off the coast of South Carolina. Right on the beach, with the marsh and a dock out back, this place is one we come back to year after year after year. It has become a time of renewal and rest, a time of gathering together to remember why we create with a group of women so supportive and real that we think of each other as our tribe.

Time to Just Be...
Experts tell us that one of the most important things a creative needs to continue to make their work is REST. Yet, this is something we often do not allow ourselves to have.
At Pawleys, there are no schedules, no alarms, no agenda. We bring our own supplies (or not), we read (or not), we talk (or cry), and do a whole lot of laughing.
Because here's what we know for sure: we come to Pawleys exhausted, frustrated, empty, and tired...but we go home filled with the joy of knowing we belong, rested and ready to go back to work.
We Gather Together...
Pawleys Island is all about taking it easy...so, we take turns cooking, we eat together, walk on the beach (a lot!), sit out on the dock and watch the sun set, and we create at our own pace.
ALL mediums and art forms are welcome. We've had people work on their writing, paintings, mosaics, sculptures, gourds, needle work, crochet, knitting, sketching, and the much appreciated art form of charcuterie creation!

with its twisted old oaks standing like old crones, draped in Spanish moss, and marsh creeks filling and emptying with the tides, showing off their wildlife and beauty and the sea, ever changing, ever pounding out her presence....
